What are the top tips for physical fitness?

Don’t overcomplicate your physical fitness.

Strap on a heart rate monitor and go have FUN moving your body until it sweats! 

A heart rate monitor will help you maintain your heart rate levels (you can Google “Target Heart Rate Formula/Zone” online). 

The Polar Heart Rate Monitors (and probably many others) have a “training mode” and it will prompt you to work harder or slow down. 

There are so many great workout programs out there that will show you exactly what to do, too.

 “PROTECT your hard work” by eating lean protein without 45 minutes after exercise. Homemade chocolate milk is a great post-workout recovery drink if nothing else. 

SLEEP.Don’t underestimate your body’s need to recover (with or without exercise). Make quality sleep a priority in your life (not quantity, QUALITY). 

NOURISH your body. You cannot expect your body to rebuild without the nutrients it needs. If you don’t like fruits and vegetables, you have to find a way to get them in! At first, you might have to SUCK IT UP. That does not mean beat your body up until it hurts! 

It means, mentally, you have to commit to wanting more for your body, and ultimately your life. It might feel awkward, boring, or uncomfortable at first, but hang in there! Find a way to PLAY. TAKE 

ACTION. Lead yourself daily. Pick one thing each day that you can do FOR your body. It doesn’t have to be monumental, but be intentional about it. Get your MIND right! 

Wrap your head around motivational ideas. Listen to people who inspire you. Wake up daily with good INTENTION and write it down on paper. 

Lastly, take OWNERSHIP of your body’s condition. Your body intuitively knows what it needs to thrive, you just have to listen, and be disciplined. Make good choices for your body and mind. (Ask yourself where, when, and how does your body feel it’s best?)
